Violet the Raven

Beloved bestie of the Golden State Valkyries

Violet the Raven hatched somewhere above the lights of Chase Center and has been circling San Francisco ever since. You may know Violet as the beloved bestie of the Golden State Valkyries, but around the city she’s become something closer to a very enthusiastic unofficial cultural correspondent.

Violet spends her time moving between rooftops, theater marquees, stadium lights, power lines, and the occasional excellent perch at the San Francisco Symphony. She likes loud crowds, soaring vocals, dramatic entrances, halftime energy, and anything involving sequins, three-pointers, or a standing ovation. At Oracle Park, she has learned to remain alert during batting practice.

“I love spending time with all my friends in San Francisco,” Violet says. “There’s always something in the air here that keeps my feathers moving.”

Which, honestly, sounds about right.

Venue Picks

I hatched right here, and while many of you call it the home of the Golden State Valkyries and Warriors, I call it the best nesting place ever!

I try and stay quiet here and let the orchestra fill the room with their amazing sounds. The high ceilings make for a fun perching spot!

I love soaring around 3rd and King, but watch out for home run balls!
