D’Arcy Drollinger

Performer & Producer

D’Arcy Drollinger has spent years turning nightlife into civic infrastructure. Actor, director, choreographer, producer, ringmaster — the titles tend to accumulate around people who know how to keep a room alive.

As the longtime owner and artistic director of OASIS, D’Arcy helped shape one of San Francisco’s defining performance spaces of the last decade: a place where drag, theater, nightlife, politics, music, and organized chaos all shared the same stage. On any given night, it could feel like a cabaret, a protest, a fever dream, or the best party in town. Usually all four.

Even in a city constantly mourning what it loses, D’Arcy remains committed to the idea that performance can still bring people together — loudly, late at night, and with excellent lighting.

Venue Picks

The Oasis is fabulous from the cabarets to the nightclub events to the immersive theater, there is nothing like it in the country. And it’s closing on January 1st, so go check it out before it’s gone.

Love Bimbo’s. You feel like you’re transported in time. And make sure you see the mermaid.

This is another one of favorite intimate venues for music in San Francisco. Over the years it’s held many memories from watching my favorite bands to catching my musician friends take the stage!
